first picture is of my sampler i pretty much designed..
i started on a chart , but it was so bad that i ditched it and just did my own thing using spot motifs from various charts and in my head
the fabric is LE Honey jazlyn i was sent when i won some fab off ebay as an extra, it is a countrystitch hand dyed.. jazlyn is ok, but not really my preferred fab i would not buy any i have to say… i have a few pieces i have acquired over time.
the silk is the new HDF examplar Oxblood ( cool name lol) and of course stitched 1×1

next cab off the rank is my pretty purple silk Girl, and yes I have deliberatley left one eye not completed cos i am like that

and finally my measely pic of Lady in the meadow.. measely cos i had to unpick a fair bit and resttich , so the progress is no where what i wanted.. i really would have liked all that bottom section done a week ago…. sigh 1×1 on 28 ct jobelan

my Sampler Cove Rapsody chart arrived as did the white chocolate silk.. now if i could decide upon a colour fab and order said fab i will be ready to start it Jan 1.. and i need to get a move on or my fab will not get here in time as no one in aus /nz does a good dk red or purple hand dyed really

now i know sometimes i buy stuff and then think why did i do that..

but i KNOW i did not order fab from SilkWeaver but today i got a piece of Spring Garden 32 ct jobelan …

own up .. who sent it….

or am i really losing it….

last night i was meant to be walking the dog..

she did not get a s long a walk as usuual..

why you ask..

the whales are back!! i missed them last week, was a bit pouty about that but they played for ages yesterday evening two of them, doing LOTS of leaping in the air and making massive splashes..
it is so cool when they come close enough for us all to see
i can watch them for hours

thankyou to the people checking up on me to make sure i am still ok, and to those who have sent me gifties which have arrived or are enroute..
the general feeling from my yet another new GP.. it is like a revolving door my GP drama
is that my immune system is so depressed form the meds that i can not get over a basic cold so i am on long term low dose antibiotics , more tablets.. yay
and i have decided no matter how crappy i feel next week i am going back to the gym i just need to do some exercise other than walking the dog and actually talk to someone other than paul face to face otherwise i will get back to never leaving the house

so that is health update done..

i am stitching Purple Silk mermaid for the mermaid/xmas sal so there will be pics of her in the next 48 hours.. i have also almost completed a mini sampler which started as one thing , the chart was SO BAD that it has ended up being something else.. i am stiching from the picture cos the graph is apalling and totally wrong so there will be a picture and details of that as well

i also have a picture on LITM for you though not as much stitched as i would like cos she had a BIG chunk frogged out of her and restitched which wasted about 1 weeks sttiching time all up, that was my fault though for trying to stitch when really sick so warning .. there is a big picture post coming soon lol
I am very discombobulated about my sttiching and what i am stiching atm..

i am sort of in some weird other world state where i want to start about 10 things but am not starrting any of them and not sure why not..

i have my models, thats fine … i have no worries there.. but in my me stitching time i am really not sure what is going on…. i have stuff to stitch , but i want a new start or two , and that isn’t a problem cos i don’t care about finishing stuff

i mean.. and this will make some of you stunned.. tranquility is still stuck in the scanner i have not even touched it since i finished it.. i have forgotten about it.. really

I have three artworks i am hoping will be charted , but then who knows with me when they are done will there be another three.. lol

i have 4 or five i could start in a heart beat but i have all the wrong floss and by the time any came from the usa i would have moved on to wanting to stitch something else the way i am at the moment….

i am also treading water with samplers…. my silk turned up for the sampler cove one, but fab is an issue in that i need to decide on a deep red or purple 36 ct linen and order it.. i really want that to be my 2008 sampler unless martina Dey releases another good mystery i can do weekly i enjoyed that format

i am waiting for the Spanish Wine Sampler it arrive i am finishing for Michele.. more water treading

i made a stupid Booboo in Mary Anne so am ignoring her atm.. not treading water .. avoiding an issue lol

so see i am all bewtixt and between and airy fairy all over the place even more so than usual..

i decided to take the risk that it was logical how the last section of the chart would look next week and completed Tranquility, i also nestled my initials in there somewhere as well, though it is not hard to see them…. not like a where’s Wally image or anything

1×1 on 28 ct Quaker cloth using hdf regular silks in my own colour way, there are two errors i know of , but they do not worry me as it is after all a patchwork sampler and patchwork quilts always have an error traditionally, and me being me i like to do overkill so i have two… lol

next for Sampler  Saturdays, i have a few weekends to catch up on RR’’s etc and then hopefully my parcel from Michele will arrive and i will be completing her
Spanish Wine Sampler for her as she has no time to stitch ,  i can’t wait to see it IRL i am looking forward to the challenge.. it has several different techniques in it!

Still coughing my way through the week, so not much to report on the stitching front..
i believe i have frogged more in the past 2 weeks than in any other time in my life..

i seem incapable of basic counting whilst i have had this chest cold/infection/stupid cough thing
i stitched a little needle book thing ( designed by carol Tinson  and found on her new yahoo group) and no joke restitched the same section 4 times in one night, much to my disgust. it is not yet a needle book as i am too scared to go near scissors as i might just cut it through the middle so dodgey is my counting lol.
it is stitched on 32 ct linen with one of the venus mirror pinks from hdf, and a lovely scrap of a mystery silk vikki sent me as a little pressie its a shocking scan, too many pale things going on fo rthe scanner to cope, sorry

and the reason for the post, here is my sugar baby.. with a sexy little shoulder . i have been bad, i am almost to the point where i just have HEAPS of sparkle thread to stitch and i was meant to be spreading it out

and i did something bad today, it was Cathy’s fault i read her blog , she stashed BIG time and said Colours Down Under were loading up heaps of new stuff so of course i went and looked , and there was the Needle book chart i had been eyeing off the day before on a USA ONS so i bought it.. of course now i need the Judy Odell Finishing book to go with it, but i could not afford that this fortnight as i bought some Lush stuff yesterday anyway here is the link

BUT i am still here..

it was always a risk with a auto immune disease and strong meds which make me sick as it is that having heaps of visitors would make me run down and i would catch something so my raging sinus ( which seems to be stress related as i have said before) of last week morphed into a head cold this week on the day mum and my nephews left , which has now as the week progressed morphed further into a chest cold , hence no voice
so my stitching has been random at best as i can not concentrate..

i know all but a few of you must think i have disappeared off the face of the earth,  i have not been emailing, blog responding or posting and only doing the minimum on the Haed Bb
so i thought i would at least let you all know i am ok.. sort of broken down , but still ok

so whilst i have been feeling sorry for myself in my distracted stuffed up head way i tidied up my wishlist at the request of Paula.. she gave me busy work so i was not just sitting staring into space in a trance . then when she had looked at it i promptly bought something off it and it changed again.. sorry paula

it wasn’t my fault Needle Little Love has a weekend sale on .. 20% off all charts for this weekend so i finally bought Abbey lane Designs New Beginnings.. i have wanted that chart for about 2-3 years and never bought it.. i have it now.. well on order anyway and i also bought the Bygone Stitches Christmas Quaker as i want a lot of the motifs for various things and i think i deserve a medal for stopping there and not buying more lol..
As far as i can see Jean is the only person in the southern hemisphere that carries Sampler cove charts.. or have i missed an online store when i was checking them all?? aussie/nz girls , do you have any insight there. And you all know which sampler cove chart i am wanting lol.. ( check previous post if you need a reminder)

i had this insane idea that it would look really good with a deep red background and stitched in the White chocolate and another pale silk from HDF ( sadly she has no blush regular left it would have been perfect) like Fleckstone or somewhere else maybe a good pale gloriana or belle soie?
there are some really nice red dyed linens at lakeside linen that would make a great background or the passione ricamo burgandy if all else fails.. am i insane? I am 90% certain that will be my 2008 sampler unless something incredible in the world of samplers occurs before hand
who else is REALLy going to start it and what colours where you thinking.. i know what nicky’s thinking is … all things gloriana and red lol..
Vikki has done the conversion on her site and at first i went WOW THAT many skeins then i remembered i would be doing 1×1  and felt a little better

here is to hoping i can concentrate long enough to get a chunk of Sugar magnolia done for the SAL.. Lady in the meadow is sitting there waiting to have a big chunk frogged ( thats when i stopped all haed stitching late last week as i made a real mess of counting with a sinus headache … le sigh)
