does this surprise anyone?
i lack the necessary goal oriented personality to do stuff like that i have found.. and the fickle nature of a true bimbo.. lol

i do have some thoughts, reflections and ideas though..
things i know..

i have awesome friends.. no i won’t list them cos they should all know who they are… though some are so sweet and selfless they probably do not even think i am talking about them
i am awfully spoilt by my awesome friends.. they certainly look after me
Silk spools are addictive,.. honest.. and they multiply, but that is ok cos they are awesome gifts for people
I buy too many aceo’s… also ok, they make awesome gifts for people
i have the attention span of a gnat when it comes to stitching.. stop laighing i know it is stating the obvious
Samplers are addictive.. which is a problem as so are HAED charts
No matter how hard i try .. there are some people who will never be happy with help given on the BB…. i need to not let it bother me it is their problem not mine
There are some people who will never say  please, thankyou or acknowledge when i send them usage charts , chart info or help them with missing orders…. again i must let it go ( and stop banning peoples emails when they do not reply with a thankyou … causes problems later when they try and email me for competions etc  lol)
my art tastes have changed so therefore my to stitch list has changed.. ( will be a later post)
 Mystery samplers are fun to do and some how they keep my attention releasing a page a week..
I ACTUALLY STARTED AND FINISHED A WHOLE MYSTERY SAMPLER THIS YEAR.. i am still stunned by this fact.. me…
Michele’s sugar and salt scrubs in Fairy Dust and Exotic Vanilla are to die for.. honest.. Julie sent me some.. and i am addicted
in 2008 i will hope to…
start three more haeds, finish 2 .. maybe three
be disciplined enough to finish sugar magnolia for the 2008 challenge and then change to Maggie and also finish her… hmmm that will be tough but i can do it
complete one more large sampler in its entirety ( mystery quaker) and 2 smaller ones.. i give you five hearts and one other
but if i do not … such is life

i wish to finish a CC chart ( model) should be an easy one to have happen ….
I want to see my stash grow and grow and grow… lol… especially with 34- 36 count linens silks and PR fabric for haeds .. and of course sampler charts
i want to learn how to make blinkies and i would like to complete a chart with specialty stitches.. but if i don’t , that is ok too

but most of all i want all my friends to have a healthier  year than we did in 2007 , i think we all struggled with our health and it just is not right so if only one wish comes true , i hope it is that one

i should have a picture of my mystery sampler in the next 36 hours.. if i can sit still long enough i have the wanders atm and can not focus..

 Hope everyone has a happy and healthy 2008 with lots of stitchy time and finishes

bearing in mind if i decide i want to do something different to what the poll says.. because well i am fudgey and i am perverse

Here is the second wip picture of my I give you Five Hearts cross stitch designed by A Mon Ami Pierre.. the bested European designer IMO, though Roberto Parolin is close.. lol

To refresh your memory it is 1×1 on 36 ct magnolia lakeside linen using HDF suepurplous  regular silk

magnolia would be my fav cream coloured linen i think… even more so than shortbead from Country stitch..

i mentioned Roberto Parolin.. if you do not know whom i speak of … here is a link to some of his charts..  i love how he uses trees and hearts, often together, the nature lover in me is enchanted..

the first is my newest baby, Holly Angel by JBG the moment i saw her i knew i had to stitch her..

she is so precious.. i have this thing about pale skinned and haired big eyed waifs..
she is being stitched on the yummy PR linen ( 32ish count) 1×1 , of course

yes that is an eye peeking out at the bottom…

next is another pale princess , this time it is Sugar magnolia after the last SAL challenge for the year

i did so much sparkle thread and no one would know it looking at the picture.. but a lot of the right side of her hair down to the new flower was sparkle thread and i stitched it.. lol

the third picture is of the Sampler i am completing for Michele Spanish Wine
it is a Wild Hearts design and has several specialty stitches in it.. it is done in silks
i have to photostitch the pieces togather as it is a bit too big fo r the scanner i have about half to do , maybe a bit less

I have bitten the bullet and decided to order the Lakeside Linen Rennaisance red for the Sampler cove sampler i am stitching i really think it needed a more even colour ..( i love the discord, and have big plans for it !!) .. but i will not get it until probably the second week of the new year  but that is fine.. i have the spanish wine one and my five hearts to keep me company until then

i entered the world of publishing too..

anyone who has been keepiong track of the discussion on what time it is where and when the most BB ers are likely to be awake will have seen various links to world clocks.. and very interesting they are too..i was telling paul about it and he decided he would put a world clock on his computer and he googled  ( because any link i had would of course be inferior to anything he could find..lol) and found this really depressing version of a world clock..

it is somewhat hypnotising watching the numbers move.. or is that just me..

so as many of you might have read i want to do the Sampler cove red Ribbon Rhapsody chart in white choc floss and dark red or purple fab..

below are two test sttiches, the first is on lakeside linen vintage antique red 36 ct courtesy of mindi who sent me a bit to test on and is pretty spot on colour wise

the second is PTP Discord linen in 32 ct , courtesy of the precious Vicky who sent me an FQ to see if it was dark enough.. it is a bit more intense the colour irl the fab inb this scan

i like the discord better i think, but do you think it is dark enough, or do i need to go darker.. like a real burgundy red, dark purple or navy or even black?

i think Carrie is my fav i love green and pink together, though i have to admit i have a definate liking for Ashley’s  attitude and slightly goth look
i seem to be doing well enabling people to start samplers in the new year.. always good when people are as weak as me lol..

and i beleive i willbe having a totally irresponsible new start this week sometime , doubt i will get much done on her , but i have to start my little Holly Angel, she is just so perfect

i will not stitch a lot of the background i will stitch her oval and use a dark matt when and if that time ever comes…
