ok so i am posting 2 samplers in 2 days..
when i first decided i wanted to model stitch it was actually samplers i wanted to do..
so even though i was booked up for models , when Martina Dey asked me to stitch for her i had to say yes..
i have stopped personal haed stitching and am only doing the haed model atm so i can do this one

And this is what i am working on for her
it is her Serenity Sampler stitched in a HDF silks conversion 1×1 on 35  ct cream Weddigen linen
I am loving stitching on the linen, it is a little firmer than i am used to , but  that is actually good for a sampler  i have decided , and the holes are a good size

just a quick update , i intended this to be done a lot earlier today , but life got away from me big time…
i had to make my birds really blue, i could not help myself, i think i am going to go one of the rose quartz colours for my flower which is not there.. jenifer suggested rose quartz , aswell and as it was on my short list i figure i will experiment with rose quartz

So i was looking at the third february basket at Shakespeare Peddler , she rarely has to do this many updates in a month.. there has been soo much released it has been hard to keep track i must say.
anyway ( i digressed slightly there) and i saw things……

now silk gauze stitchers.. LOOK dragonflies , they look sooo pretty ( ok so most of you are probably going… well what a waste of time .. but i loooove dragonflies)
and then the hearts.. imagine them with a different silk over dyed for each heart… so much fun and smile worthy stitching , just a bit further and there is also a cat for the Caron Collection which is funky ..
i went researching and found some international sites with the charts , but i was unsure about ordering i get lost in the languages sometimes and as much as i like Shakespeares Peddler i prefer paypal for international ordering so i am sitting on these treasures for a while( well not literally or i would have them already lol) whilst i think about it

look who found her way to the scanner..
she has had trouble finding her way there, i keep doing the one more day trick..
not a lot to say really except i had to do the second eye as an alien type outline just to keep sue etc happy.. what is a fudgey scan with out an eye outline??
its been so long the specs are 1×1 28 ct jobelan Lady in the Meadow QS 
if i look carefully and consider how far over the edges i have gone into the other pages i actually only have about 1 1/2 to go Alot of which is 310 and 3371 lol … hopefully i can say i will be done in the next few months… look out michele you had better start thinking about which one you want next!!

oh and before i go .. i have updated my blog roll slightly, check out the new blog i listed.. it is the HAED website blog i am now writing in at least twice a week… mainly with website news but also stitcher profiles with a sort of wip of the week thing

were you starting to think i had taken up stashing fulltime and stopped stitching??

my aim is three pics this week.. maybe four..
first one is today and it is my mystery quaker sampler.. i still have not caught up but i am less than a page behind now , technically , and given i missed three weeks i think that is an achievement !
you wil notice a cicular motif with a blank middle,there is meant to be a flower there
but every instinct in my body is saying use a left of centre different colour… just can not work out what that colour is.. i played around with the yellows i had and went … nup after a while. Paul is all for Pink or red. I think red is too jarring with that series of blues and a yellow background, but pink has possibilities if i can finfd the right one..
what do people think, am i barking mad and should just do a blue  or can you see my weird abstract vision?
in case you are not familiar with my quaker it is 1×1 on 40 ct LL linen in cornsilk using HDF ( vikki clayton) silks regular 1×1

How was i to know that Sheryl at the Stitching Closet was going to be so amazingly successful and find all but one of the charts i had asked her about from Thistle Threads
i thought maybe if i was lucky she would find say 1-2 of the ones i had sent her on a quest to find.. but NO she found FOUR of them..
i should have only bought 2.. well one really but ….
i bought three… and sat arguing with myself for about 10 minutes on the fourth
So thankyou Sheryl, you are a wonder at hunting down charts… my savings however are not impressed with you lol

Periphaeria had a little contest attached to signing up for the newsletter.. and the randomiser, that i use for the head board etc.. obviously remembered me lol.. it picked my name out as the winner!! yes me i win NOTHING ever … so i had th check with her that i t was not a joke or error..

i managed to catch up a bit on my mystery sampler and i am going to really go for it and try and fully catch up this weekend.. i suspect i will fall slightly short , but who knows.. i also have done a chunk of my sampler model and hopefully martina will give the ok in the next week to post what i have done, And i am working away on Lady in a Meadow and should post a pic in the next 2 days..

edited to add… oops i forgot to say… Kerry is back from her well deserved holiday and she has a lovely Fine Art chaart which i suspect is close to her heart given her love of books Reading A Book by Ernst  and another Pamela Matthews one which comes in normal or Deluxe size.. i have linked Deluxe… Reconcilliation of the Sexes  i would post pamela’s website as i love her work and have two on my i hope will be charted list , but i can not find a working website fo her anymore.. pout

number one with out a doubt right now is the Seasons of The Trees by Rosewood manor
i have always loved their Forest Grew one , but did not like the verse in the middle.. i at one stage searched for a more fudgeyesque poem or quote about nature but gave up.. now this one has been released i am very happy i have always wanted a tree sampler in my rotation..

next is the awesome Courtney Collection stuff.. there are a heap of her charts being released .. i wl just put a few here , but watch out for this designer she is really awesome, her work is a breath of fresh air IMO
I like Pelican  ( pic could be better imo) Maidens Fair  and Alpha bleu best i think.. just wish her stuff was a bit cheaper..
the next few i preorderd when i was feeling really ill yesterday to cheer myself up… thanks to my gift voucher from Paula …. thankyou sweet one it was perfect timing for a splurge..

but on a positive i FINALLY finished my RR piece.. poor diane probably thinks i have left the country.. vicky if i can work out how to get a full pic of her i will post it..

that exclusive full service hotel is looking more and more appealing.. just a month .. thats all i need…

Thought i had better let you all know i am still alive..

i stitched CC model last week and then had another weekend of no stitching , hence the no picture thing..

and i am a relatively boring person if not stitching so don’t have anything else to write about.. lol
i am starting to have grave fears for my mystery sampler.,.. 2 weekends in a  row i have not stitched cos of lost weekends, and now i also miss a big chunk of this weekend and i can see myself being three pages behind , and if i do not keep pace i am not sure i will stick with it..

i hope i can find a way to whizz through a few pages… the following weekend..

no i can not slot in mornings etc each weekday as i have a new model, a sampler that i am doing 3 mornings a week instead of personal stitching

sigh… i need to go live in a hotel and have people take care of my every need, clean for me, feed me etc so i can just stitch, and walk and go to the gym
