… just in case anyone was wondering..

sorry i have been quiet, i was too busy running around doing the doctor thing every day (including the dreaded 10 hour round trip to the rheumatologist ) and then we did an impromptu trip to melbourne for 36 hours of football and it all came crashing down on me this week, i have been exhausted and i let the compter side of things drop a bit and went to the bat cave for a while and stitched.. when i get really tired my body basically shuts down.. other fibro sufferers would know what i mean and i add the dermatomyositis to it and .. well… i slow down a bit lol

But it meand there are pictures well a few.. i was bad and i owed my blog a picture of French Filigree i posted on the Haed BB and the HDF BB last week so here it is.. of course i have done more since the picture as michele has nominated this as my primary haed model for the next little while , so Lady in the Meadow is napping for a month until i have a big chunk done on this one
It is stitched on 35 ct linen with HDF in one of the enchanter rose series ( forgot the number sorry) and black, 1×1 of course

the next picture is of My Hearts a Caron Collection chart which i bought from Shakespeare Peddler
i am somewhat addicred to this one and i am half way on it now, and need to get my act together and design some hearts of my own
it is stitched on 34 ct white legacy linen 1×1 with regular hdf silk in a myriad of current, limted edition and retired silks

the colours from the top left on each row are

Carries Passionfruit ( LE ), Blueberry soup, Orb, Rosebush ( disc), Lighter version of new Velvet Masquerade
caribbean eve, golden nectarine, sumer sky (disc), lavender and rose, Nosegay series(LE)
Kailslaw/wintererried, yonder sky, rasberry creme ( disc) paua abalone, underbelly
blank, starting peach melba, Iris ( disc) Russian Sage, Pink Lemonade ( LE)

My Primera Chart is finally on its way to me, i ordered it today ..yay…

and a chart that caught my eye at the recent needle work show was a Sampler Cove design,
Kaleidoscope Flower so many posibilities, and i love its swirliness
i will also own this one day i am sure.. Virtuous Huswif ( cherished stitches)
and i sooo want this loittle dude, but not at that price! Squirrel scissors Fob i know rthe scissors come with it an dal the bits and pieces.. but.. actualy The Hearts Content has some awesome fob kits, i wish she would just sell them as charts

a few things to write about today ..

firstly michele has relaunched her Haed Originals line and the first chart is a stunner French Filigree 
i fell in love immediately, the chances for personal interpretation are enormous…
i am stitching the model for her ( i just had to … sharon laughed at the time and is still laughing i know)
so Lady in the meadow will be only a once a month stitch as i will share my haed model stitching time between the two rather than take time from somewhere else.. but i still think she will be finished well before the end of the year ( i hope)
i will post pics of my wip tomorrow or the next day , here is how take one went.. we tried using OMG Red 1153 as that was the only red i had in my stash which i had enough of , and whilst i love it , and its dark gothic type look it was a bit too dramatic for michele so i did some test stitching and we came up with a new colour but here is the first attempt so you get an idea of the way it stitches up

is is stitched 1×1 on 35ct linen.. tomorrows picture will be a lot more girly..lol

next up is a new picture of my black doodle cloth i added a number of new coloiurs since last time including my special conch horn colour i had created which is the little pink flower at the bottom next to the psychadellic pink yellw and orange caribbean splash

next is a new chart i saw last night and promptly fell off my chair! and then emailled Janine at Colours Down Under to ask her if she would be getting the chart..
it is for a Patchwork Ball…. sonething i have made dozens of in my time.. but this is a Cross stitched patchwork ball!!! for which the possibilities would be endless.

Janine said yes she would get it in.. hmmm the list of charts she is getting in for me is scary really.. apparently Primera should arrive in WA at the end of the week… ( i have a gift voucher from a fairy friend all ready to spend to purchase it )

so i thought i had better post one..

I do not have much to show as i just worked on My CC model for 7 days so i can’t share my main stitching focus pic..
i can however share my My Hearts piece.. i had a grungy day on friday so i treated mself to a hearts binge, and stitched 4 hearts
I decided to look through all my old HDF colours , the discontinued ones as there had been a discussion on the HDF board about Rosebush.. and i thought…oooooo that would look nice on my sampler, so it will be a new and old combo sampler , as i found pretties such as caribbean splash , summer sky, rose blush, peach melba, creamsicle and various others…
and i have to admit this picture i am posting is not up to date anymore as a heart in yonder sky and half a heart in raspberry creme ( discontinued colour) accidentally got stitched last night when i decided to stop sttiching the model about 9.30 ..
so they wil appear in the next update pic

so top row is..

the little bit of blue is the start of my yonder sky heart.. but then i moved it to the third row …
decided it would be happier next to the split colour heart

Orb is so pretty, i am waiting on a skein of it so i can stitch it on my black doodle cloth .. the piece i had was from a discontinued tag i bought from vikki ( every order i get 10 discontinued tags for 25 cents.. they willbe perfect for a mini spot sampler at some point)
Next in my rotation is two days of Serenity Sampler , then back to Lady in the Meadow .. iwill do these two until next friday witha brief stint on my hearts and black doodle cloths..
well that is the plan lol.. and we all know how much i suck at stitching plans

i also have a new stitching frame..
i wanted a little one i could travel with so i could stitch in the car and at mums.
I have another of my six hours each way trips to hobart next thursday and it would be so much easier to stitch if i had a lap frame.. so i got one of these with both  the 8 inch and 10 inch hoops, it is nothing flash, but i just tested sitting on it etc and it seems like it will do the job i want it to.. My hand can not hold a frame or fabric for any length of time with out hurting like **** so this will do fine for the car.. The Stitching Post was out of stock ( and i wanted it for next week)  so i did get mine from Sew and sew and once again i must marvel at their service i ordered it last monday and i had it delivered today ( monday) and that is from the UK and postage is not expensive.. ridiculously cheap given the speed.

one more thing.. Vikki dyed my girly pink silk .. here is the picture.. i am very happy with how it turned out..
