but this weekend is my own little personal Character creations SAL.. why my own.. don’t think anyone has been sal’ing with me for ages , except kerry, who is entranced with her lovley Inkcircles celtic mystery ( and who can blame her!) atm

so anyway if you want to keep me company pop onto the Character Creations bulletin board ( link is on the left hand side of page) and let me know i am not alone!
mind you i am an anti social Sal’er as i can not share my picture as it is a model…

oh and be warned.. i am on the precipice of another finish……. what is wrong with me…

Fudgey does not FINISH things lol

I needed to stitch something for a friend whose birthday i missed… bad fudgey
so i knuckeld down and instead of the haed sal this weekend i completed a freebie sampler for her from Debbie Draper called Spots of Fun
it is stitched in a LE colour from The HDF spools forum ( specifcally a blend of colour numbers 4459-5115-1325-1343)  on 34 ct white  legacy linen 1×1 ..of course

so the next question is what do i do with it..lol.. i have until friday morning to finish it.. stay tuned

Thopught i would show an update of My serenity sampler model..

i am flying along compared to my other pieces, the weddigen 35ct is wonderful to stitch on for samplers , i must get some more from Martina , you can email Coulrs Down Under as they have it too but not in the cream for 35 ct, they have other counts i know that…
it is 1×1 35ct using regular HDF silks in pretty much the designers colourway with a slight greens change to bring in the darker green . I would say i am well over half way..
there is a boo boo, one of the smaller motifs has to be frogged  got disorientated being a smarty pants, i stitched one in a circle rather than back and forth and got lost… don’t ask.. just accept i am fudgey my name and by brain power…  only i can ger disorientated and lost on a sampler stitching a motif
it really speaks to how much trouble i am having with my health atm

i had an impulse buy the other day.. couldn’t help myself it just HAPPENED!
the new papillion creations Heat Wave chart… it had butterflies on it.. i had just ordered a pretty spool of silk and as soon as i saw the chart i knew that silk would look lovely sttiched as butterflies.. so i bought it..
i bought it from papillion  so i could download the chart straight away..

it was like christmas at my place this moring , beautiful people ..vicky and sonya had sent me gifties
no not sharing what exactly .. but there was cool stuff like silks, fab , choc, jewellery etc…
they arrived the same moring as my new jelly belly stash so that was super cool, parcels everywhere!
and that was after an email from a fairy saying she already had the la d da alphabet for me waiting to wing its way to me! ((hugs)) little fairy
so that is one down on the waiting waiting waiting list lol ( must go cross it off my wish list before i forget!)

I am fighting an enormous temptation atm..
people keep posting pictures of pretty Myrea petit cats on the BB and i want one too.. pout..
i am so proud of my sticking to a stitching routine as i have for the last 4 months ( will not call it a rotation as it is not really it is more “My Stitching Rules”) and these pesky cats keep poking at me with their paws..
only thing stopping me is not having the floss .. well all the floss lol and not being able to choose between the Rose Kitty and the Anenome one ( the colour chart fo rthis one is to die for!), and now i am entering the danger zone, a new start sal starts next weekend on the Haed Bb and i am scared i will go crazy and start stitching witht the floss i have..
might have to go away for the weekend to avoid the temptation!..

 oh and the second section of the periphaeria mystery sampler is up.. and she gave us the centre motif.. just to test those of us too lazy to grid in the lines i am sure of it!

better get back to Serenity Sampler !

Yes i am still here…

not many pics this time as i spent much of the last 7-8 days on the CC piece i can’t show pics of..
but i do have a few pictures still to share .
the first one is my black doodle cloth which uses all silks from HDF .. see link on side bar thingy
it is on Black PR 30 ct evenweave linen ( thanks vicky) 1×1
and it has heaps of colours lol i do actually have them all documented as i show each one seperately on the hdf board

next is my hearts sampler which i thought i had posted.. but i can see i have not .. oops
the chart is from the caron collection which i ordered from Shakespeares Peddler it is stitched 1×1 on 34 ct legacy linen i have 12 hearts to go and then i will start again on black fabric.. all the siks are hdf , either current, Limited edition or discontinued

the third opiece is a rush opiece i am doing .. i wickedly forgot my friend vicki’s birthday .. iowas sititng opposite her drinking coffee last friday and i suddenly said.. i missed your birthday!! and she laughed.. yes i had missed it , but she knew how ill i was and had let it slide.. bad girl..

soi i am stitching Debbie Draper’s Freebie Spots of Fun on 34 ct legacy linen 1×1 using a LE spools colour from HDF which is just delicious IRL ( sue you would like this one ) i see her in a fortnight for coffee again and i want to finish it and get it framed before then.. nothing like setting myself targets in real life this looks more like rose potpourri in colour the reds are redder and the pinks are pinker and the graduation of colour looks wonderful

now a question.. observation.. or something.. for the aussie girls..

have any of you noticed that not many of the nashville releases have made their way to aussie ONS’
i am going nutty waiting for various charts to appear.. some of which would be perfect for my gift stitching which i am trying to do atm .. and would have done for Vicky instead of the freebie ( i am thinking here oif the la d da alphabet sampler, or the jbw  new country  heart and puppy charts  , stitched together as she has a lovely dog)

there ar a few but in general there are hardly any of them..i am really torn atm between not supporting aussie shops and doing an overseas order and continue to sit around and wait ..
yes i did email one and the indication was they would come in , but that was ages ago and i am still waiting, waiting ,waiting

i am now in a 2 week cycle of HAED’s french Filigree and martina dey Serenity sampler sttictching orgy..

it is weird doing a original haed chart instead of a normal one i think i will ask Michele if i can go back to lady in a meadow after this rotation and finish her i am missing the soothing rythm of that style of stitching.. i really enjoyed my last week of doing it on a CC piece and was reluctant to move on

well that was norty , should have been doin haed blog or stitching and i just updated my wishlist..
it needed it.. thats my story and i am sticking to it..
i frequently go through and prune it, add to it and wonder what on earth i do it for..
but it is a good excuseto look at eyecandy for a while
the newest object of my affection is Toccata number 4 .. yes it is expensive, but it is three band samplers, which i know would have been tested, and exquisitely charted and opresented in such a way all the sopecialty stitches will be a walk in the park..
not many of you know this, but i love specialty stitches, i just never do them lol
i also have this insane idea that in about 20 years ..lol i will do the full Sampler of Stitches even though i do not own one of the charts yet..crazy i know, but what is a day without dreams.. and all my dreams tend to be stitchy

The recent DMC scare… which was not a scare for me really as i had been following it fro the past month or so  and i knew to read all the article released on the first day .. umm was that thursday? to see it said restructuring not closing and never did isay full bankruptcy ofr both sides of the business, any way i digress.. Got me playing my fav game
a lot of people have decided to kit up all the non negotiable, i will stitch these charts  , and i have been awash with usage chart requests …
which made me wonder which ones would i kit up.. i mean how do i narrow it down?
i actually think whilst i still have some money coming in ( i am for ever worried they will pull the pin on my sickness benefit and onlyhave my stash to stitch from.. like i would EVER run out …. but it drives my stash collecting habit) i should kit 7-8 of the charts i know i have to stitch

i spose part 1 would be to work out all the requirements for the fantasy alphabet lol which could take me all day

Ching chou has started doing fabric blocks .. she has bought a heap of pabric which is a fabric like substance she can print onto the same way she does all her art prints..
i ordered one aceo block off her and we started talking about how to use the fab.. and now i am getting 6  more and i am going to make up a cushion or bag or something for her to display and have how to use the fabric notes for interested stitchers .. from our research it seems the fabricc is not great for hand stitching, can be used for machine stitching.. but i am most interested in double sided fusible webbing, and am thinking it would be possible to construct really cool pinkeeps etc using that technique especially for those who feel finishing challenged..
so i guess i am about to work on my textiles skills again…
